The American Experiment
The American Experiment is an experiment in how people behave when given freedom and left to their own devices. The USA is a democratic country which puts a lot of power into the citizens hands, and with that allows for them to vote on what freedoms they want. With this in mind, most of the people break the few rules that we have as a country on a daily basis, from things as simple as speeding and underage drinking to buying and selling drugs and murder. With this we can also see the implementation of local governments within communities ,“You can't divide the country up into sections…''-pg12- in the end the people will divide themselves as they see fit, such as areas like Chinatown and neighborhoods that use HOA systems. These local government systems receive lash back similar to that of which national governments do, except on a much smaller scale. With this there are usually issues involving things as trivial as garbage can placement and number of dogs to a home. These smaller forms of government directly affect me and my family due to how we are being limited on construction in relation to remodeling our home and the number of pets we are permitted to have. While the “protests” aren't as intense as those such as the January 6th raid, they do manifest in the form of minor protests. All of these things come together to reflect the intention behind my idea of the American experiment and how we function as our chosen communities.
